Parent Training & Information (PTI) Learning Hub

Building knowledge, confidence, and advocacy capacity
through self-paced training that supports informed decision-making for youth, young adults, and families of children with disabilities.

Getting Started:

Step 1:
Select a Learning Hub.

Look through PEAK Parent Center’s projects to find a learning hub that fits what
you’re looking for.

When you select a project, it opens the learning hub where you can see the courses for
that project.

Step 2:
Select a Course.

Inside the learning hub, you will see a list of courses. Read the course titles and descriptions to choose the one that is right for you.

Courses are grouped by audience, so choose the course that best matches your role or age group.

Step 3:
Register or Log in to Enroll.

To enroll, you need an account on the PEAK learning platform. If this is your first time, you will be asked to create an account with a few basic details.

If you already have an account, log in to enroll in the course and access it anytime.

Courses for Families of children with disabilities

These courses were designed for families to learn about disability rights, education, advocacy, and support options. These courses help families build knowledge and skills to support their child and make informed decisions.

Courses for youth and Young adults with disabilities

These are courses were created for youth and young adults with disabilities. Topics focus on self-advocacy, independence, education, and life skills to support growth and confidence at your own pace.

The purpose of the Parent Training and Information (PTI) project is to provide Colorado parents, self-advocates, and family members with high quality information and training so that they can become lifelong advocates for their children and themselves. The PTI Project assists families and self-advocates to create change so that schools and communities are more responsive to the needs of all students.

Direct Support for Families

Trained parent advisors offer support, referrals, and information on various topics like special education, inclusion, behavior support, and more! Connect with us by phone, email, or in person.
