Course Description
This course explains Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and how they are used to plan special education and related services for eligible students with disabilities.
An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a written plan developed for an eligible student with a disability that describes the student’s educational needs, goals, special education, related services, and other supports.
- You will learn how students are evaluated and found eligible for special education, how an IEP is developed, and what information must be included in the plan.
- You will learn about IEP meetings and the IEP team, including the roles of students, families, teachers, and other school professionals. The course also covers reviewing and updating the IEP, planning for life after high school, and participating in decisions about your education.
